Jodi Lazar
Jodi Lazar has been practicing law for over 30 years. Prior to opening her law firm devoted exclusively to family law, Jodi was a civil litigation attorney handling cases in state and federal courts throughout the country. Jodi decided to open her own family law firm in 2004 to work on issues that make a difference in people’s lives. She is an experienced trial lawyer and negotiator and represents clients in both the traditional litigation and collaborative law models, depending on the client’s needs.
A 1988 graduate of The University of Texas School of Law, Jodi was previously an Adjunct Professor in the Advocacy Program at UT Law. In her six seasons coaching UT Law’s National Mock Trial team, she led her teams to two Regional Championships and an 8th place finish in the nation in 2019. She continues to guest lecture on negotiation, mediation and collaborative law for the Alternative Dispute Resolution classes at the law school.
Jodi is an active public speaker on family law at professional conferences throughout the state of Texas.
